The
Goal
The goal of the Community Bank of Smith County’s Smart Club is to provide children the opportunity to learn the importance of saving money and rewarding them for doing so.
We are proud to be a leader among financial institutions in encouraging our youth to adopt strong savings principles.
Opening
an Account
The account will be individual; however a parent or guardian will sign the account signature card. One or two parent or guardians can sign the signature card.
Interest
Rate Information
The interest rate and the annual percentage yield may change any time at our discretion. If you would like more current information, please call 735-3990. We use the daily collected balance method to calculate the interest on this account. This method applies a periodic rate to the daily collected balance in the account for the period.
Statements
Interest for Smart Club will be compounded quarterly and credited to account quarterly. The statement reports any deposits or withdrawals made during this period. The account holder should compare his or her savings book with the statement’s listing or transactions. This reinforces the importance of math skills and helps insure that all records are accurate. Any discrepancies should be reported to the bank. All receipts of deposits should be kept.

Reward
A dollar ($1.00) per A or S will be deposited to the savings account when the account holder presents their report card to a bank representative. Maximum of $5.00 per school year. Deposits will be made when account holder’s report card is reported.
